i am new here but thoroughly enjoyed the contests earlier in the year. I see that the forum is close to it's 100,000th post and nearing (@1,500 away) 10,000th topic. Probably too late to do anything around the 100,000th post. But, would propose for a $10 donation to the Foundation, the person who posts the 10,000th topic wins a basket of goodies all donated by members, so the Foundation retains the benefit. I would kick it off by donating to the basket a $50 gift card, a bottle of Dip n Grow and a pair of new pruning shears. The 10,000th poster must have made the $10 donation or the prize goes to the next poster who has made a donation.

I am new and do not know if this needs approval (apologies in advance if I broke decorum) from the board but just trying to help the Foundation and stir up some fun.

Def Steve how do we give the $10 donation I think Jon only takes checks do we send check now and then keep track of posts/topics and then the race is on for the 10.000 one?

Also how are we going to know exactly who makes the 10.000 post it doesnt say anywhere who made what post does it ?

At this point it is a proposal only. I hope it does become a bone fide contest. I wanted to hear from Jon and/or board members that we can proceed. And we can hammer out specifics but i assume the Foundation would take checks now and Jon would be able to tell who was the 10,000 th poster. If people want to donate to the basket, I can keep track of that and periodically post the updated contents.
