Preto, RdB, Valle Negra side-by-side

I was delighted to find these 3 varieties ready for picking at the same time.  All were exceptional.  I did a blind taste test with the wife and she chose Preto.  Valle Negra was next best.  All 3 have a distinct flavor and size that separates them from one another.  All 3 have a home with me forever.
The last pic, from largest to smallest, Preto, VN, RdB.

I am hungry all of a sudden

Nice Frank,I like the Valle Negra as well.Seems well behaved,I've had it in a #15
for over 2 years and it still looks happy. No roots poking out the drain holes yet,I
think it's a natural for container culture.

I agree.  I have one in a SIP and it does better than some other varieties in the same environment.

WOW!! Thanks Frank, for posting this. It's nice to see different Figs Compared to each other. : )

Very nice comparative and presentation! I also like the way those figs look on that granite surface!

Frank, I'm tempted to ask what type of granite that is as I'm in the middle of a kitchen renovation and haven't made the final decision about granite!  But the figs do look great!  I think my Preto is a couple weeks off still - did you start yours in a greenhouse?

I appreciate the nice comments, everyone.  Thank you.

Rewton,
I did start mine in the greenhouse around March.
The granite is 'Venetian Ice".

Frank these are some beautiful figs and sure taste great too, will taste these someday. Thanks for posting these.

Excellent display of figs must have been quite a treat!

Easy to see why these figs are favs with fig collectors.
