One of the two cuttings I have of Ponte Tresa formed roots and I transferred it to a soil mix today.

Figaholics is closed for the season and will not offer cuttings again until next winter so the question of where to obtain PT cuttings is still a valid one. smithmal

Scrolling down his Facebook page I also seen a picture of him in front of a sign that says Ponte Tresa. My guess is he flew from Malaysia to Switzerland to get the cuttings. But could always ask him.
I would cut it down too, if it caused people to trespass on my property and I had no idea why?

I can't wait until next year - maybe year after that when PT starts to become easy to get. So many people have it now - it's only a matter of time before it's a relatively common fig.

Me too. I appreciate the story of it's discovery and rise to attention, but ultimately what is of more interest is a. Can the taste be duplicated similarly in various US growing conditions and b. Is it accessible, without costing an arm and both legs?
I hope the answer is yes to both because that vermillion pulp of the Ponte Tresa looks down right delicious.
