There is a special satisfaction from starting your own plants. Been doing it for years with vegetables and herbs put taking a fig cutting and turning it into a thriving plant just seems that much more interesting to me.
I did my first cuttings in March off my lone Hardy Chicago. Did 3 and they all grew perfectly. All 3 are now potted in 10 gallon pots and buried in my garden and all three are over 3 feet tall and covered with breba figs, that I know won't ripen in time but it's nice to see things going well.
