Rust?

Hello,
I'm new to figs, this is only my second year growing them, and I have a question; is this rust? Well two actually, if it is, what do I do? Defoliate? The figs that have whatever this is are quite young, and I'd hate to kill them.

Thanks for your time.

Btw these are a Croatian unknown, a Violette Bordeaux, and a Chicago Hardy.

Might be underwatered.

I sure hope so, that'd be really easy to fix. Unfortunately it's been raining like crazy, and during this rainy period these spots appeared. Still, considering you're a moderator/expert I imagine you are probably right.

Thats rust. I live in rust haven. Go to ebay and buy powdered copper. Mix it yourself spray soil leaves and trunk. Pull leaves that are really ugly and your done for three months. It sticks and you make see blue color on leaves. Do this right before spring and you wont see rust. Spray every part of plant and soil.

Need Oil also works on rust and it's non-toxic

Ok, thanks guys! Only the figs from Arlington and Florida developed this problem, but it started to spread to a nearby tree from Portland. I hit all the trees I got from Wellspring, and Arlington with neem oil, soil, branches, trunk, and leaves, because I had some already.

If it doesn't go away I'll go the copper route. In fact either way I'll be buying some copper to add to my arsenal.

Most of my trees do not have FMV so I really want Avid, Forbid, and Azatrol as well to keep it from spreading, but that's another can of worms, and an expensive one!

$230 for Forbid, $100 for Avid, and thankfully just $25 for Azatrol...makes the trees seem cheap!

At any rate, thanks again, I love this forum, I wish you all luck in your fig adventures!
