Sorry:I revisited,Jon Verdic varietal Page,for St Anthony,and ,indeed,he has a dark fig as St Anthony.
The St Anthony needs to be yellow outside at all times,and only the inside changes with caprification,and become darker,while the outside remain the same in this case Yellow.
The fig Jon have seem to be a missnomer,in my opinion,so Tim was right to point toward I Condit,description,when referring to outside color of the ripe fruits.
And there is a clue that tells me ,Jon St Anthony is a missnomer,and that is:
The eye is too large and open to be Saint Anthony.
Even if the change in color is from climate,the eye should stay closed,any way,so,that is why I say,that fig is not St Anthony.
