Hi, now in my 4th or fifth year of growing figs and been very lucky rooting, growing and harvesting delicious sweet figs here on Long Island. I have a great collection of nice more common varieties mostly in pots and overwintered in garage. Considering the amount of work and care required, I would like to own and nurture some more rare varieties like Figo Preto, Black Madiera or I 258 or any other suggested great varieties which I would keep in pots and greenhouse in spring to extend the growing season here in zone 7. Just looking for some outstanding varieties to add to my collection.
Would someone have cuttings for sale or suggest a very reputable source for these cuttings? I am just not that comfortable paying large sums for premium varieties on ebay unless I know the variety is true. Thanks all.
