I have one with those holes on the side and about 3 with those dark hard spots. Should I remove them so tree doesn't waste energy on them. Or is this normal and I should leave them alone?

The one with the hole should be removed. It will probably spoil as it ripens. The hard spots are probably rub marks. They'll be fine.
I'd be removing a lot of figs then! So many of mine get that rub scaly marks, they taste like the others, keep me on,the one with holes I'd trash
