SISTER MAD GREEN

Very different from any fig I've had thus far. Wife agrees. And its very good. More of a true bee honey taste wrapped in plum. I cant explain it. Its just good

I'm going by memory but looks a lot like Aaron's "Prosciutto" fig. Regardless, it looks delicious! Would like to know if cuttings become available... I assume it's an early producer then?

I got it from Charlie little. I may be able to take a cutting or two from a branch that hasn't pushed alot of green wood. I will message you in a bit.

Thanks Richie!

That looks delicious and sounds yummy. If you have any remaining cuttings I would love to see what it would be like here in socal.

That looks delish. Nice job getting ripe figs this early. . I have 2 going right now and already have figs on them. Hoping they ripen this year. I read someplace that this may be Vasilika syka?

Thats what i think too but have a vasika sika just as big but no fruit yet to compare.

Looks so perfect,, color and closed eye..beautiful.

I received some cuttings of Sister Madeleine's Green GREEK from Charlie as well. I have one growing well in a 15 gallon pot- will put into the ground in a few months. I was able to grow most of my cuttings- I have Sister Madeleine's yellow and Sister Madeleine's Dark. ( the dark is the sister's favourite- not too many people have tried it)

Charlie Little doesn't sell the cuttings- his arrangement is donation to the Nuns who allow the cuttings to be taken - once he receives proof of donation- screen shot or Paypal receipt ( he has the link) he only asked for the cost of postage for the cuttings.

I will have one or 2 of the Green GREEK growing cuttings available and Maybe 1-2 of the Sister Madeleine's yellow.

I would part with them for the same-- Donation to the Nuns who supplied them- with proof of donation -I did grow them but it feels wrong to sell. Maybe these figs will always be special. And cost of postage.
I will consider my time to grow them as thanks again to the Nums who supplied them.
The Green Greek are believed to be Vasilika Sika and the yellow are believed White Genoa. All I've heard is the Green Greek taste like the sweetest strawberry ever picked, I think that sounds amazing enough.
I am on Rafed's Facebook page if anyone is interested in the Green Greek or Yellow Greek- both Sister Madeleine's- first to call it with donation to the Nuns- can have it.

Can someone tell me how and where to send a donation ? That sweetest strawberry ever picked sounds like it's worth a shot to me 👍
