Hello, one day a california grower send me calimyrna fig cutting. So this year, the tree gives figs but all fall when they are small. In my research i see need wasp, so how can i get this wasp? I see the tree sets small fruit in last may to june. Please i want to get this wasp, in my region not have perhaps in marroco or algeria.

See now you are in Niger ..too far frm wasps / Algeria /Kabylie
Best will be to graft your stock with a self pollinatong variety ( like Violette d’Bordeaux)

I lives in Africa, Niamey is my hometown. Niger my country. Can i have someone in tunisia or marocco to send me figs that have many waps inside next spring.

I think that travel us to my country about 15 days and wasp will died. But marocco or tunisia about one day.

I did not want to graft it, because want dried figs.

I had a topic here regarding figs from niamey - niger.

It seems the usda has two namely:1. Bosnat fig ,2.Asisi fig.

The Bosnat is the white bosnian which is a breba production fig and the Asisi is a bifera..

Get in touch with ICRISAT people there maybe they got a wasp colony already.
