Squirrel fricassee?

Anyone have a good recipe? Even a bad recipe would suffice.
I guess I'm a real fig growers now--squirrels just ransacked my few figs on the noid tree, and I'll be prepared next time....I did get a couple of small ones a few days ago, so it wasn't totally aggravating.

Dreaming of fricassee options ....

Grrrr....

Clipped this from a local paper years ago. I knew someday it would come in handy :)

ROTFLMAO

I was afraid the last line of the recipe would read 'stuff them with figs'!

They're already stuffed, I think.
Thanks!

Bon appétit!

Just kill one and put its head on a stick so the others will see it and think twice about going in.

Search for recipes on Squirrel Gumbo or Squirrel and Dumplings....

This was sorta my line of reasoning....

I just cut them up, roll in flour, and fry. Then put in a casserole dish with a few TBS of water in the bottom, and bake for about 30-40 min at 350 degrees. Delicious!

LOL I love this too funny. I was raised hunting squirrels as a kid. Now I live in the city people look at me like a pscho if I tell them that squirrel tastes good. XD
And it is all in the matter of how it is prepared. Scary one would not know what it was and think if was groumet if done properly. I will say now I'm greatful not to have the lil pesty buggers by me now! I know your not suppose to have a pellet gun in the city but if I had these guys..I would consider it! lol My dad sets live traps and takes them away but for everyone he takes he seems to get two in return! lol

No use for dinner recipes. Need a high powered BB gun. Damn thing ate my only set and growing pomegranate.

About 3 weeks ago I noticed some figs partially eaten and the pattern looked different than when birds get past the net (birds leave peck holes, whereas these were partially eaten). I am guessing either squirrels, chipmunks or roof rats (look like mice). Anyway I took a small piece of bird net and wrapped it fluffed up around the main trunk and after that I stopped seeing that new pattern of partially eaten figs. A few days after that I put some roof rat poison bars outside so, I am not 100% certain it was the net or the poison that did it.

Maybe you can have squirrels as the secret ingredient on Iron Chef to drive up demand for squirrels

I love the ideas, thanks!

The best recipes begin:'Bag 10 or 12 dead squirrels...'
