That's a beautiful fig!  I'll bet it tasted amazing!

Do you have a photo of the leaves?

I have Fayumi an Egyptian common type fig that is said to be a synonym for Sultani.
Unfortunately there is no wasp in Canada so my figs don't get those deep caprified colours like yours.

Yummilicious. Thanks for posting the pictures. I think there is another Sultani named variant from USA.

Very nice fig , Jamel

I wonder if this is the same cultivar as the Sultane as sold by P.Baud

Francisco

Is this the same as Aarons Sultani?

Thank's for the comments, this Sultani is the local variety ,Tunisian cultivar, but Sultani figs known in Europe (Sultane, Noire Sultane..) is a tunisan variety at the origine, spread from a variety near the variety shown in the post. I can't say about Us Sultani cultivars but we can suppose that it comes from the Europeans ones.. For Fayumi from Egypt, i often heard that it's the same Figs indeed.
Regards.

Sultani or Sultane? It was my impression Sultani needs to be caprified but Sultane does not. Sultane is also the same as Noire de Bellone. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Those look really good.

I have a Baud Sultane. Very attractive black skin, white powder coated fruits and lots of skin surface cracking when ripe. Medium red interior, small syrup pool in the center.
