There's still several limbs left, mostly the ones that had many green figs.  Maybe they will ripen yet.  Will go back in a few weeks to meet the new owner and see what the prospects are for the rest of it.

I think Unk Lake Spur leaves most resemble Vasilika Sika among all my rooted cuttings.  Here's one on the left, beside two V Sika. 

 

Looking forward to somebody getting figs and ID this one.  One of these days I'll get out there and visit the new home owner.

Please share your rooted cuttings pics of Unk Lake Spur if you have them started.  What do you think it might be?

This is my best U. Lake Spur plant so far. But the rest are not that far behind.  The ruler is 12". It was started in Nov. 

 

Charlie, are your Vas.Sik. the ones that Herman has that produce a more round fruit or the enlongated Dalmatie/Stella type?

None of my rooted cuttings are producing any figs, maybe next year.  Here's a photo of the Unk Lake Spur cuttings I buried in the wood chips pile last fall.  I piled composted rabbit manure on them after they grew a bit to offset the wood chips taking all the nitrogen.

 

Does anybody have any figs on theirs?  I'm dying to know this variety.

Mine are pretty big too. No figs yet. My guess is still CDDB.

I picked my first Lake Spur Unk fig tonight, it was pretty good.

Update on this tree.  The previous owner had told me the new owner burned the tree.  I chatted with the new owner, who doesn't yet know if he likes figs or not being he has never tried one.  He cut it down to the ground and burned all the limbs and brush from his fence line, not knowing the tree would come back from the roots, which it has and he says it has figs on.  

I offered to come remove the tree if he didn't want it but somebody told him he could make money selling the cuttings.  He said his friend was going to come over and ID it for him.  

Personally I hope he likes figs and lets the tree live or lets me have it.  I also hope his friend can positively ID it and I want to know more about this friend, if he is able to just look at it and say what variety it is.  Seems nobody here knows yet or they aren't saying for whatever reason.  

Kind of find it hard to believe nobody has ID it yet after seeing the video.

I think positive fig Id is extremely difficult even in person.
Young trees have many leave shape changes.
Add climate, culture and zone and it gets even harder.
Be happy because it looks like you got a very nice tree with good fruit.

I am happy but would be very happy to drop the UNK and start calling it what it is.  

Also very happy I started very many of this variety.  Just had a feeling.

I know this thread hasn't had activity this year, but today I ate my first 4 Unk Lake Spur figs!  In January of this year I got a potted ULS from Charlie and planted around March.  The bush took off but the fruit took quite a while to ripen...  But wow, the figs have a beautiful green/red coloring and an incredible taste!  A new favorite.  Thanks Charlie.

Glad you like it!  I finally also got a few to ripen.  It tastes almost just like Sister Madeline's Green Greek, maybe a bit more berry.  A pleasant surprise. :)

Mine is a tiny 8" with 2 leaves. Hopefully she'll put on some growth next year. (Oops this is just a small cutting I was thinking about. Actually ULS is one of my fastest in ground growers)

Yes, a very pleasant surprise :)  Maybe next year the fruit will set earlier and they all will ripen before the frost..
