texture vs taste

Some figs I love for the texture alone.Take an average tasting fig and give it a good texture and it makes a big difference.I like the dry chewy types with the berry flavor.Maybe texture changes with ripening.It is hard for me to describe texture,need help.

I had ones with chewy skins like leather. Ones with jammy texture, and others that were juicy and had almost no texture. Seeds are good to describe texture, and some had veins near the skin that were like lines when you bite them.
