Frank -

Thank you so very much for your hospitality and generosity!  It was a pleasure meeting you in person and soaking up some knowledge and seeing your wonderful orchard.  Sorry I was so exhausted from two days of hunting back-to-back ; hope I was somewhat coherent, hahah  I can tell Im no longer in my 20's when I could hunt for a week straight with very little sleep.  Needless to say, the drive home to Jax was a bit...interesting, especially when the sun went down.

As a testimony to my insanity, I ate supper, went to bed, and went out yesterday. :) Hunting has now been banned until after Christmas...

Again, thank you for the treats! I cannot wait to get them started and extras will be given to my students... Look forward to seeing you again in the summer when the trees are in leaf & fruit and the Mrs. will make sure I'm well rested and coherent.

My lord, how Tally has grown... it amazes me every time I go back...

It was a pleasure meeting you, James.
And yes, you appeared to be lucid during your brief visit despite the lack of sleep.
Thanks for bringing me the Hunt from Just Fruits.

It was the least I could do, Frank.  Thanks again!

Calvin it was nice -- we hunted the Gulf of Mexico and got into some bluebills and Redheads which are a prime species of duck down here -- Roasted Redheads will make a fine addition to the Christmas dinner table.  Every year a group of us meet up from around the state (and Georgia) to hunt together so it is always a nice reunion -- plus we were hunting out of layout boats and that is always a very unique experience - this year we had four deployed so it was quite the little flotilla.

Sunday I got to hunt on a lake where I shot my first double (a lifetime ago, it seems) and picked up some teal, Ringnecks, and wood ducks -- I cannot hunt that place without being flooded with memories of hunting with my father.

Frank, (FMD) is good people.
I would love to be able to stop by his place sometime.  just a FEW too many miles away.
