There's figs at my new school!

I'm going back to school at South Seattle Community College, and while walking around campus I noticed there's at least 6 figs. These two are big ones by one of the academic buildings and are covered in brebas, I'm assuming that they're Desert King, but don't know yet. There's four smaller ones near the cafeteria, but they don't have any fruit on them so I'm assuming they're a different variety. Ah Now you have a use for all your empty beer cups. Makes nice little cutting container for your windowsill. Thoughtful way to recycle. Have fun

Josh, Thanks for sharing your fig find at the SSCC campus. I stopped by campus the other day after an appointment I had in West Seattle. It was only a short visit, as it was much to hot out for me. This is NOT typical Seattle weather and I would really like to see the rain return and the temperatures to drop. Anyway, I didn't see the trees in your post, but I did locate the four next to the PBA Building. The tree on the north is most definitely not a desert king. There were a few figs, that are about 4 inches long. Picture posted of this tree. Oh ok cool, I haven't looked at the smaller ones in a while, I'll have to go give them a peek. It's nice to see the figs are still on campus at South Seattle. I forgot to mention this last time, but since you're studying in the area, behind the nearby Southwest Public Library there is a fig tree that's been there as long as I can remember.
