I'm looking for something that is easy/quick to erect and take down by one person and relatively lightweight. I don't intend to use it through winter, only March/April/early May. I like this one.

I was tempted to buy that greenhouse myself. I stopped myself after finding a review from someone who said the door zipper came loose and the warranty was non-existent. Check out this Amazon review. It sounds like there might be some durability issues with at least the zippers, which seems to be a common theme (at least in my cursory online research) with pop-up greenhouses.

I don't have a lot of faith in the durability of the soft, tent type greenhouses. My plan this year is to buy a few of these rigid, twin-wall polycarbonate panels. I'm going to frame them with 2x4 (or lighter 2x3) then build four walls and a roof over the tree with a few potted trees in there....

I figure once built I'll be able to bolt the whole thing together in minutes. 

 

The twin wall will provide more R value and allow you to start earlier and keep it out later.


EDIT : Triple wall is out there if you want more R value... May be pricey though...Haven't seen it at my plastics place...

 

I have not had the issues with the zippers but I use silicon spray on the zippers in my small greenhouse and the larger one as a normal maintenance action.

a bar of soap does wonders on zippers.....

with the winds we have been having around here, that would be launched in no time.

I had to chase mine down a few times in south Florida and finally gave up.

I am wondering that How long those Plastic sheeting last? Can it handle UV, Windy?

I saw PE clothes, How tough are they?

I use a similar one to Danny's but it's sold for less.  You can get sizes from 2' to 20'.  And yes, you have to stake them down  :)  My 15x7x7 costs $104.  I can't see paying $259 for that.

The twin wall polycarbonate is UV resistant and used widely to build greenhouses. Guaranteed not to yellow.... I can't imagine the soft poly lasting long 

Bob - The one I have is $134, whn I bought it it was $115.  The difference btwn the one you linked are the side braces, probably not worth $30 difference.

I use bungies to brace but  metal is better.

I know I'm harping but I'm a fan of the stuff. I doubt one would get two seasons out of the soft vinyl tents. German made "Bayer" polycarbonate used in making the rigid twin-wall, has anti - UV coating with 10 years warranty. If you can handle a bit of do-it-yourself it'd be less expensive than buying a good soft greenhouse....Just saying...

Definitely getting one of the Sunbubbles. Among the few places that have it in stock I found the best price from a place in Florida with  free shipping through Feb. I'm tempted to buy the larger one.

11' 6" across = 103 square feet

going to build some curved shelfs to go around the inside.

I figure since I'm only going to use it about 2 1/2 months a year (until frost danger is over) it should last a while.

I'm going to try one of these out for extending the season in the spring and fall, then wrap it in a white tarp for winter.  Will bring it in in the late spring.  We'll see how it does.

I had a smaller version and the one problem I had was keeping the plastic semi-clean after a few seasons of pollen and whatnot.  It still did the job but I think it contributed to the plastic weakening over time and one year when I unfolded the covering to put it up, it just fell apart.  I think I only got 3 seasons out of that cover.  I think I can buy newer ones that supposedly last longer, but I just think I'd have the same problems...UV & dirt are the enemy.

I bought the big Sunbubble, hope it comes soon. Too old to do the shuffle
