Turkish fig

I purchased 5 gallon Turkish fig tree in Home Depot today. They also sell Brown Turkey as different variety. I can not find any info online on Turkish fig. Any info/photos would be appreciated.

Maybe it's the same thing from different sources. I seen one today at Home Depot that just said Fig.

Breba Girl,
Some sellers do 'bait' some hypothetical fig names to attract incautious buyers-
IMO there is no 'Turkish fig' as the name of a fig variety. it can be any fig grown in Turkey
Think you have to show a few pictures of the plant,  ripe fruit (inside and out), leave shapes, etc.. and hope a member identifies it for you.
If you are looking for a fig variety with origins  in Turkey ask the forum.. may be a member helps!
Also IMO,   - Brown Turkey fig variety has nothing to do with Turkey .

Is there any pic that can help to identify the variety ?

You also want to be aware that Home Depot and other similar stores get their figs from nurseries that have shown to be less than diligent with fig identification. Many of us have figs that were mislabeled. On the bright side they don't usually offer many varieties. As others have said, pictures of leaves and fruit may help identify them.

Somebody else posted recently about that tree at hd.

Thank you for your response.

Its leaf shape looks similar to me that fig is from Aegean region of Turkey. If you send pic after ripened I will be sure .But for your intention, as I heard some nurseries are selling some European varieties under Turkish fig label that make sales faster.

Thank you Ercan, I appreciate your response. I will post photos of ripe figs.
