Unk Italian Yellow Westfield

Anyone else started thier cuttings yet? I like the shape of the leaves and seems to have some vigor and very healthy. Started these 3/17. Pics were taken today 5/18... Also the white specs on them are just pollen.

Looks nice. Some serious growth for two months.

Those look really nice

Mine are the fastest growing cuttings of all that I've started this year.

Aaron,
For me the Orangeburg Puple was the winner. All of the cutting were so strong and they are competing against each other. They are atleast a foot tall now. I have 2 UIYWs that are catch up. 2 of the NYACKs are very bushy with thin branches, but love the leaves on them. No luck with Sorrento. Lost them all. Will post some pic when I get a chance.

unk yellow greek AD are just a little faster than these. These are catching up quickly though.
Nyack and Orangeburg were very slow for me. just getting started really and Sorrento is slowest of all for me.
Its interesting how the same varieties grow differently for different people. I'm sure climate plays a part.

Here are a couple of pictures of this years fall cuttings that were rooted.
The first picture is of 4 Orangeburg purple in 1 gallons.
The second one has the smaller NYACK and Italian yellow Westfield in the 2 gallon.
The last picture sums up all the hard work this winter thru spring, with a few still indoors under grow lamps.

By the way, I lost close to 30 percent of the cuttings as I was learning along the way.

Very nice. They look great and very healthy.

My Unk IY Westfield set figs which are now the furthest along of any maincrop in my collection-impressive.
Looking forward to updating this thread when they ripen...
