Unknown New Zealand fig tree

Just thought I'd share a picture of the first "real" NZ fig tree I've spotted. It's located in a paddock along the Tuki Tuki River (near my house) in Patangata. The woman on whose property it is located said that the figs never fully ripen. I'll be keeping my eye on it to see what it does. I'll post some of the figs when the season comes. Meanwhile, I got some cuttings from it that I'll be playing with :)

Yes, one tree with multiple trunks. It is quite impressive!

My Lord that thing is insane... what agricultural zone are you in up there?

9a I believe ... Great for figs and trout!
