This is another beautiful Unknown variety (Siyah Kis Incir) which we got from Ercan , who got the largest collection of Turkish common figs. It came as a gift with my other trees that I ordred from him, but it turned out well and produced couple of main crops mid October in my greenhouse. I must say it was one of the most complex flavour I have ever tasted. Last picture is the mother tree in Turkey. Ercan.. Siyah kis is also known as "Winter Black" right. Looks beautiful. A lot of people put emphasis on popular/exotic cultivars, which is great because it highlights some of the better fig varieties; however, I am most interested in the figs our members love regardless of pedigree. Currently Growing: a bunch of varieties.
