Hi! I just want to ask....what are the most productive and recommended varieties in the 100g+ range? Common & Smyrna...
I've had some really big California Brown Turkey figs that were up around 110 grams. Those were probably brebas, though (the main crop was around 70g iirc), and lacked strong flavor.
Patricks super giant, Orphan I believe
Rob's Genovese Nero comes to mind.
Zidi, Texas Blue Giant comes to mind.

I think that Pellegrino unknown is similar to Peretta...
Vito.. what variety is that dark fig?!
Vito, thats a monster!! Are you sure thats a fig? Hows the flavor? It really looks good.
@ Ross. The dark one is Schar Israel. @ Meg. The long Yellow was pure honey, delicious. @ Meg, the yellow one, is long Yellow
What variety is that Yellow one?
I'm still waiting for my first fig of Schar Israel. Been two years now.
Brian, good things come to those who wait
Last year some of my desert Kings, out of my massive harvest (more than 150 lbs off a 7-year old in-ground tree), were quarter-pounders, over 120 grams.
My Cucumber regularly produces 100g+ figs.
Nycfig: is it breba or maincrop?
These are main crop figs. To be fair, the pic of the 'fig in hand' is my 5 year old sons' hand. Uploaded pics from phone and didn't see that one until this morning! Impressive nonetheless. :)
Im a huge fan of large figs and I've been keeping a list of figs anytime I see reports of them go over 100G
green goliath, probably not the real name.
