What is your hardiness zone? Do you think this variety would do well in a pot?

Vito...I planted two long yellow neck last fall, is that what your large yellow fig is?  I wasn't aware it was that big since mine haven't produced yet, maybe this summer since they are actually doing great. The seller just described it as yellow long neck.  thanks...

Bump...I enjoyed looking through this thread ,made my mouth water on this snowy day in South Carolina.Got to love those monster figs!

Thanks for the bump.  A good read.

I tried to post pics of Fico Nero Duemane (translation "two hands") but got an error message due too size.  I had already reduced the pics to <200Kb each, so I don't know what to do.  Suggestions welcome.

My 2 largest in 2015 were Fannick's Texas Blue Giant and Lemon. Both these varieties are very productive and Lemon needed support in '15. I'm not super impressed by Lemon's taste but if one wants tons of fruit for preserves, etc. this one might be worth growing.
The largest was a 178 gm Blue Giant.

Michael, does Texas BG split when there is a lot of rain? I have a couple young ones but they have not produced yet.
