A large fig, thin skin. Juicy with dark burgundy pulp. Tastes like raspberry-strawberry jam.

Looks fantastic Igor! Thanks for posting the photos! The one I got from you is doing great. Looking forward to this one fruiting maybe next year?
Hi, Can you post a picture of the leaf?
Sure. It is dark outside but here it is.
Thanks for the photo. I haven't seen the fruit yet but I believe my tree is a vasilika Mavra (black) waiting for the figs to get bigger.
This one I believe is a vasilika aspro "white". Waiting to see the fig.
Beautiful fig! There are a number of different Vasilika fig trees. It's hard to keep track of them all. I have the Marva and the Belleclare.
A one of a kind perfectly ripe Melissi! Very dark and intense. On the plate surrounded by MBVS for a comparison.
Wow beautiful fig ,love the colors
Oh yeah nice fig!In Zone 6 my VS Melisi ripens with Dalmatie and tasted very nice but not as sweet!My Vasilika Sika Melisi came directly from Greece brought here by a trusted F4F member. To me it does looks very similar to Greenfig's Melisi (minus the wasp). Melisi leaf;
Is this a common fig? Mine dropped all its fruit twice now.
Adam I doubt many of the greek figs are common. I am noticing this trend.
I believe it is common but the only way to verify this is to grow it outside California. Last year I gave the Melissi to several people, would be nice to hear from them.
Thats a really dark interior. Very nice and a beautiful plate of figs too.
My Vasilika Melissi dropped all its fruit in the last 3 years so I doubt it's a common fig.
This is what I'm talking about..
Were these sold to you guys as common?
