Found a fig seedling tree that is giant in my moms back field. This tree gets no water so im surprised there are figs and its doing so well. The figs on this tree are small and as you see inside color is red and OMG... the flavor is the most intense berry flavor ive ever experienced before...like rich sweet strawberry. So happy to have found it. I will make cuttings of it and make more trees. I bet if properly cared for, this tree would get even bigger figs. It does not matter though..the flavor is so incredible. This is my new favorite fig so far. Does it look or sound like any particular variety? I know its a seedling as its growing wild in blueberry field in wrong location....growing next to male caprifig.

Sacredorigen Nice find more than likely a new variety. Love the pale white color of skin. Very impressed with this one. Hope to find cuttings for sale soon. Lol. If I lived there I would surly be more fit. Hiking all the time

So envious! Fig trees cannot grow wild in the Sonoran desert. Blueberries probably mean that your soil has a low pH and your area has a moderate climate -- in which Zone is your beautiful fig growing, sacredorigen?

Thank you everyone for the comments! I am excited about this fig. I know its not just me ( fig addicted ) either. Today i gave my guests a taste of a brown turkey fig and they said it was good. Then i gave them a tast of this fig and asked them their opinion. Their faces lit up and they said this is the best tasting fig ever and that they had never tasted such a flavor in a fig, never knew it existed.

My guest is Dutch and has had many exotic foods from around the world and is very educated in foods and various cultures.

I agree 100 percent! they put to words which to me was indescribable.

The seedling is vigorous and cuttings rooting in water already after just 4 days.. I will grow many more of them, so in love with this one!!
