Weird looking fig branches

I just bought this fig on sale but was wondering why the branches pointing downwards ? Has anybody seen this before ? Local nursery, 5 bucks so not really a big loss. I just took all the leafs off since they were all yellow . Nice one. Plant it slanted in a bigger pot after you cut branches on one side. This way the branches will point upward after you prune them a bit. __________________ Eli ,Israel ,Zone 10? Hi Ilikefigs, This is a common sight for me. Lots of small pot grown fig trees will look like that - perhaps as they are kept root-bound for too long. You don't need to worry. Just let it grow in ground or in a bigger pot and it will grow upright . __________________ ------------------------ Climate from -25°C to + 35°C Only cold hardy figtrees can make it here
