Dear all, previous two days my area had been raining really hard, today I found these big dots on the leave of my fig. Can anyone identify the problem? and What is the solution? Thank you so much!

Hi welcome to the forum
You have a fungus on the leaves from too much water I would suggest taking the plant out of the rain cutting off the infected leaves and get a fungicide
I believe one for black spot would work but hopfully more people will chime in soon and get you a sure fire cure

Thank you for your quick reply! I have four other figs right next to it, this is the only one that has fungus. I will cut them off tomorrow and keep it out of the rain.

One question, do I still keep water it once a day?

(I am new to this forum, great forum!)

I would not water it for a couple of days anyway dont let it get so dry it wilts but that soil looks soggy and that can cause root rot.
Anyone else have a suggestion?

I was told by a Nursery to water them thoroughly once a day, will this cost it's root to rot? They are about 13 inches tall just got them this summer. I am living in zone 6B. Thanks!

It would be alright to water more if you were not getting so much rain and if they didn't have fungus.
They should not need water every day unless they are rootbound or if it is very hot when the weather clears up and you put them back outside water them every three days unless they start to wilt would be my suggestion
I do live in zone 8 so I will grow a little different than you so maybe someone from up north can chime in

True with most plants, over watering is more dangerous than under watering.  I only water if the soil in the pot is too dry.  For me that is every 2 days or so, except in very warm dry weather, then I water daily.  Let the soil tell you when it needs water.

Keep those leaves away from your other trees.

I hope they come out of it and give you lots of figs next year.
