Wasp.  I had one building a nest in my Celeste a few weeks ago. When it flew away I would break off the nest.  It kept rebuilding in the same spot on the same leaf, so I picked off the leaf.  Then it started to build on the next leaf over.  I had to kill the thing because it was obsessed with that tree.  It's no fun to have wasps buzzing around when you go near your fig tree.

Joe- Paper wasps/yellow jackets are nasty things around their nests. But, I think once the mud wasp or potter wasp is done building it takes off and does not guard the nest at all. And, it is stuffing beetle grubs in those pots I learned, so potter wasps are my pals.

Will- The picture was taken with Olympus 590uz in Super Macro, it is a great camera for the price.
