What should I do with this cutting ?

A friend of mine just sent me two photos attached asking what to do with all these two cuttings as according to the photos, one cutting that the roots are on top of the cutting instead of below the dirt, the other one shows roots on top and the cutting and also near the dirt. He said he did not up side down the cutting by mistake. In this case, what should I tell me to do with many thanks.

Pot them up and bury all the roots. Always accept roots where they are.

I've heard people suggest burying cuttings horizontally instead of vertically sometimes when roots grow from the top, but I haven't had occasion to try it myself. Perhaps someone with experience on that front could comment further.

When the roots came out in a strange place I have put them horizontally with success. I have also planted them diagonal. Take the roots where they are.

See lol

I have passed on your messages to my friend and let him to decide what he wants to proceed.
Thanks.............
