I found it to be quite interesting.  Wondering how they would do in the Southeast.  I've been looking for a disease-tolerant grape that handles the southeast that tastes like a Concord, but I found this one... and I'm tempted to wait around for cuttings to become available.

Wow...love to try to grow Witch Finger Grapes. Had never heard of these before.  Any idea of where we could purchase a plant?

And have you saw the Cotton Candy grapes?  Suppose to taste like the name suggests.

I read somewhere that it seems there are limited quantities out right now for consumption and that they won't be releasing any until 2013.

Apparently there have been some for sale in CA and in NY.  Grapery in CA is supposedly the first grower.  I have always wanted to go to his vineyard and see the grapes.  I've tried to grow grapes for years and get good looking bunches, but lose them to critters when they get halfway to ripeness.  One of my visions of paradise for me is gorgeous, honey dripping dead ripe figs at arms reach every day, peaches you pick off the tree that are so ripe and juicy that they settle down between your fingers as you hold them (available every day), and beautiful, plump, full bunches of sweet crisp grapes and all I have to do is just reach over from my easy chair to pick.  Well those are just a few things in my paradise - but at least you get a small picture. 

Did someone say WITCHfinger grapes?

Just saw these in the store today. Of course I want them!

I've been checking out the grape section at the grocery store.......no Witch Fingers or Cotton Candy.....wonder how many years it will take them to make it to Tennessee.

I still want to find a source for these.

My kids and I tried them about a month ago at AJ's supermarket in AZ.  They were really good.  My kids were raving about them.    

I recently found some organic green grapes at Walmart and they were amazing.  I don't remember the variety but they were suprisingly good, probably the best grapes I've had.  They were sweet and crispy.  They had a snap to them.   

I would love to try cotton candy grapes.

I would add that to my yard in a heart beat. Thank you for posting that! Very cool. We're looking at buying more land come spring - just in time for some witch finger plants :)

Check out the orange ones.  Anyone know what these are or more importantly where someone could get plants?   They are some sort of Hydrid Lady Finger.  I'm building an Arbor and would like to pick something really unique to grow over it.

I tried both the witch fingers and cotton candy grapes today. The cotton candy ones are now my favorite grape. They truly taste like cotton candy. Superdelicious. After eating this, the witch fingers tasted sour by comparison. They are novel because they are long tubular grapes. Kids really like them.

Has anybody grown this?

These witch finger grapes are bred by the same people who bred the "cotton candy" Grapes.  I used to sell them when I was in the Produce business.  The witch fingers are good, but really just a novelty, I wouldn't say they are any better than most black or red seedless grapes.  I read about the breeding program they came from in the past, but I can't look it up right now. I'll come back and post here if I find it later.  

I will say though that they are most likely patented varieties and only carefully sold within the industry.  

I do remember that they are NOT GMO though. They were bred using traditional methods.

That's their official site.  You can see all the varieties they currently offer. But as I said previously, you will probably have a very hard time getting these as a home grower.  These people are trying to be "the" premiere grape breeder. I would expect their plants to be as protected as possible.  

That being said, there might be some other oblong varieties that are out there that one could get their hands on. I'm just not sure.
