Wow that's a big fig....is the flavor watered down due to its size?

That one was 125g(Breba). Picture taken early August 2009. I think I had one that was even bigger. It was sitting on a scale. Pic somewhere in my computer. The main crop fig is much smaller but more figs. This is a keeper. Very, very pleasant & well balanced sweetness & taste like the Vicenzo. Branch where this biggie came from went to a kind gentlemen in eastern USA.

Another biggie I got is SLOCAN(likely a Longue d'Aout).  Excellent too.  Length wise almost the length of my wife's palm. I do not know how to post pic's yet. May get someone to post that too. Thanks to Bass for posting this pic's to share.

Paully22,

Can I come and visit you the next time I'm in the B.C.?
That's if you would be interested in selling some cuttings of that fig.

Hi Paully reason i was curious about the size was the martins unknown you recieved my biggest one was 4.55 ounces tennis ball size about 126 grams but that is not the normal size just the biggest one it produced that i posted on scale last season or season before last i forget. The regular ones get nice size though and bigger than an average fig but watery and sometimes good but not always rich in taste lie i had hoped for hence me giving away the mature parent tree along with it leaving too many unripe figs at end of season.
So your in for a treat with both plants barring martins gives you ripe figs in time as it ripened not all figs for me in my climate .
Sorry to get off subject.

No, no this one must be real from a respectful member.
Once, I also showed a similar big Quarter Pounder next
to a tennis ball. Also, Herman did same with a Lyndhurst White...

Jon, you are 100% right that it is akinned to TYTY. I like it. This keeps the fig Nazis away. LOL.

Rafed  - you have mail. Certainly you can dropped by & the  BBQ & coffee will be ready.

Gorgi -- thanks for the good words.

Martin -- I am very happy to report I rooted one cutting of your unknown and I had it potted 2 weeks ago. I could see roots starting to show in the 32 oz cup. It had leafed out. I will have chance to make comparisons like I first mentioned in Nov 2008. I have 2 more cuttings from you that I am sending to my brother.

The Enrico didn't grow too much this year, too root bound as I missed pruning the roots, the only pot missed. It started to make good growth progress in late August with roots growing into ground but by mid Oct., there was not enough time. I had to dig the 20 gal pot to bring indoors. Variant came from Italy. An Ital. butcher who was not happy with the figs here had his relatives send him one. I am sure those who have got this from me would in time make it available for the fig community. Fellow fig friends I have promised wood will get them. This variant would be ideal in place with higher heat units & longer growing season than my zone. Another variant that I have mentioned before is the Vicenzo. Taste wise is similar but fig size for breba is smaller & less. However for main crop lovers, Vicenzo is very productive & ripens at least 2 weeks earlier. Main crop fig size is almost same as Enrico. A good variant in my zone for large fig is the "Slocan". Productivity and taste is good combined with the opportunity to harvest a decent main crop is high. If you like DK, it is my opinion the Slocan taste better. The Slocan may actually be "Longue D'Aout". The person of repute I got the Slocan from is going to plant more of this variant as it delivers reliably thus far.

Bass,

Another great find.

Looks like these TY TY dudes have played one too many records backwards.
These dudes are just too negative, It's as if they were imagining they were sacrificing a human.
And what kind of clientele are they trying to reach out to?

Looks like a bunch of Satan Worshipers to me.
After this video, They will never ever get my business, Not that I ever planned on to anyway!

That's about as avante-garde as you can get for a fig tree advertisement.
