I've picked a few Smith figs from my 3yr old tree. I have to say that this is a great tasting fig. Long lasting rich flavor and sweet but not jammy sweet which I prefer. The flavor haunts you for a couple hrs after eating.

That's the kind of haunting I would like!  So far I haven't heard anyone saying this is a mediocre fig.

It's been extremely dewey in Seattle and some of my figs have been splitting. The Verte and Kadota Namely. But the smith Fig has been very resistant! Look at how much dew is collecting on this fig and it's holding on strong.
