Okay, I have way too much time on my hands with a heat index pushing 113 today.  And considering I am a fig-aholic now (thanks to this forum, LOL), I was thinking:
It is so nice to read the posts from everyone, see where they are from. Wow, wouldn't it be nice if we could have an interactive map, atlas of sorts, that we could plot in our logistics with our user name?  Then we could "play" with the fig-map and see who lives where.
Does anyone even know if something like that is possible?  I am thinking it is.   Then, I wonder if we could get it added as part of the forum?

Anyone?  Feedback??

I think I am going to go watch my freezer defrost now!   :-)

yea, it is possible.  One of my BBQ forums did that last year - let me look into it.

Yep, I'm already on a map. It's done with google maps. Everone can place a pin on their location. I belong to another group that has one and as I travel I check out the map for members along the way. It's a great way to meet our online friends.

I think it would be a blast!  I'll start looking around too and see what I can find about how one would go about incorporating a feature like that.  It can't be that hard.   Yes, I have the fig bug so bad, I admit it.  Good thing they don't make an immunization for it!

Yes, the ones I have seen are done on Google Earth or Maps.  Someone has to collect the user names and addresses or City/state or Zip codes and pin them on the map and then post a link to view it.  I'll be glad to collect the addresses, etc....and do the map.  Just PM your City/State or zip code to me.
