anyone have trouble with red aphids on their figs?  I just noticed them this week and they are sitting on the ripest fig I've got...at first I thought they were spiders!

Love seeing everyone's fig photos though I don't have a chance to comment on them!  Hopefully one day I'll have some photos too!:)

Yes!  Are they red aphids?  And, most importantly...bad for figs?

Those are leaf-footed bug nymphs.

Also known as stink bugs. They mess with my pecans and tomatoes. Only see them land on the figs but have not noticed any damage from them.

On the upside, you can be happy that (in my opinion) these are much less destructive than aphids.
