My Black Mission is pushing out leaves for the spring.  The initial leaf looked great

the next few and subsequent leaves are looking a little jacked up

any thoughts/ideas/helpful hints-tips would be greatly appreciated and for whatever reason the bud tip has moved from growing straight with the first leaf to pointing to the side where you see the deformed side (smaller side) of  the next two leaves.

Pwbum1,
Your tree may have FMV. But your problem is a Nutrient deficiency. It may be due to pH levels and or Calcium or Iron or Magnesium deficiency. A balanced fertilizer will usually reduce or eliminate the leaf problems. I've been able to produce the same poorly formed leaves by simply changing the pH (reducing it).

Hi pwbum1,
The tree has been stressed.
I would up pot, give it fertilizer, and regular waterings .
I would search the stem for insects stings .
