I do not recognize it. I can't remember seeing a fig with this leaf shape, and I have never seen a ripe fig with that appearance inside.

Hi nice to meet you....I have also a similar fig that was brought by my friend from Israel some years ago . Since it has no label and He did not know of the variety either..I gave its name "Red Israel Fig"

My country(China) introduced this fig in 1998 from Texas. In China, it is a common species.

Just want to clarify....this fig, was introduced to China in 1998, sourced from Texas, and is now a common fig in China? That was not too long ago, I would think someone/somewhere would know more. Nice looking fig though, red skin/cream colored flesh. I particularly like the leaf shape...I'm a sucker for the leaves!! Interesting. Hmm, would be interested to know if the Red Israel is one and the same.

I hate to say this but it resembles a Brown Turkey. Everything except the stem and shape is a general match.

The only reservation I have... Most BT's I have seen have a hollow cavity unless this is a seedling.

That one does have a cavity, it just has swollen flower parts tangling up the void. My BT does this when the fruits are almost there, and it seems to happen more with breba crop than anything.
