well today I can speak for Green Greek. I do have a small BG growing but no figs yet....maybe this summer. GG does ripen late and taste like a very sweet jammy raspberry. It is an excellent tasting fig. I got one in the ground and another in a pot, its my backup. Are these the same fig, heck I don't know. In my honest opinion, GG is richer in flavor than my Paradiso but equal in sweetness. GG figs are medium size. What size are BG figs? I no nothing about BG figs.

Pete, you may as well put white Genoa in the same list. Blood red interior, very late ripening green (no hint of yellow) exterior and a fairly thick skin compared to most other figs.

From Sybil formally of Edible Landscaping if I'm not mistaken.uote: Battaglia Green (a deep Strawberry Verte) was introduced by our nursery about 15 years ago. The tree was saved by our friend, Sandy Battaglia, hence the name. It turned out to be one of the most beautiful of the verte figs with a rich, dark burgundy-red center. Stunning in salads and any kind of fruit plate. Surprises everyone who cuts or bites into it. Very sweet and delightful.

BG is open eye, GG is tight eye. And GG turns a ashy white green when ripe.
