This is an Italian fig. They are small figs, but very tasty. It tastes like a cross between Celeste and Italian Honey. The tree is very young, but very productive. The fig size will possibly be a little larger when the tree is more mature.

Hi Bass.

Those look great, and sound great from the description.

And the colors are quite beautiful also, the red interior with that light colored skin.

Italians definately know their figs, and have produced some great ones.

Looks like a real winner.

Best wishes.

Im glad its producing so well for you Bass.  I have to get a few more cuttings of it when I go back to Italy since my own plant died when I went on vacation for a week (100 degree weather for a week straight did it in with no rain in a month).

I bought one last season, but no fruit yet. Looking encouraging.

Arigato, thanks for bringing in this variety. let me know if you need help propagating it. or if you couldn't get cuttings i can help you with that.
it's a good fig, even though it's small.
Do you have any more information about it?

I Am a bit late to respond to this thread but the fig comes from Veneto, Italy and the cuttings I propogated the tree come from my relatives back yard ( also in Italy).

The tree was in tree form more so than bush was no more than 10-15 feet high.  The fruits probably wont get any bigger as they are quite small, but like you said very productive.   I cant remeber if its a 2 cropper or not.
