last fall, i took the cups out of the box when i saw water being drawn to the top of the cutting. it's wasn't anything i read about, but i was just worried that it might mold or something.

i have a Black Madeira cutting that's doing this. i'm thinking about taking it out of the box and putting it outside under a shade.

when is a good time to take the cuttings out of the box? i would think either i see the roots through the cup or leaves are big enough, but i'm not there yet.

Pete, if you see roots growing out the cup take it out of the box but keep it inside, the sun is probably too strong for it. I would wait a week and if it still looks good move it to a 1 gallon pot.

I rushed to get some of my newly rooted ones outside and fried them in the sun so all of mine will stay indoors for a bt longer. The may see a nice shady spot outside until they get stronger.

Folks here prevented me from killing all my rootlings, live and learn. Thank you everyone!
