I now have an even dozen!  I visited KiwiBob today - he showed me around and I left with some good information ... and a fig tree. That makes an even dozen. It's a Gene's Vashon. Local name. Don't know much about it but it tends to do well here. My husband thinks I've gone off the deep end.

Well at least you know how we all feel about figs. I started with one, went to three, then ten, and now over thirty. They are addictive. They are also very rewarding. An effort yes but not without reward. Congrats on the new addition to your collection.

Yah I had the same thought and laughed. It's getting a little ridiculous, but I love it. I'm contemplating a green house for cuttings but I have a lot of shade to contend with.

I'm happy i have 12. I feel a little more zen with even numbers.

Nichole,
I'll have a booth at the Folklife festival. Feel free to stop by a chat about figs. I gab with KiwiBob every year. I'll be selling brooms not figs. :-) Hope to see you.

Congratulations on your twelfth fig!!!!!!!!!!!! They look so adorable at that age, rather Charlie-Brown-Christmas-Tree-ish but with alot more vigour! Bet it bursts out of that pot in seconds!
