Good day, I have a lot of fig trees in my orchard and in containers.  However, there are 2 figs I am unable to find.  They are:
LSU Improved
LSU Improved Celeste
These are 2 disctintly different varieties.  The LSU Improved Celeste I am searching for has Brunswick type leaves.  I have several single lobe & 3 lobe fig trees called O'Rourke and they are a beauty!  If anyone has these 2 varieties, please send me a PM.  I am willing to trade (via air layer) or buy these 2 varieties and share my list of fig trees.

thanks,

Wish I could help you Dennis,

But I lost both of mine last winter!

I had one from JR that Dan picked out for me when he visited JR
And I had one that I raised from LSU cuttings that did not make it through the Winter, so we don't have any!

I have the LSU purple. Amazing plant, resist to a lot of diseases and is super high quality! You're welcome to her.

Thank Cecil and Howie.  I am trying to complete my LSU collection.  I have
LSU Purple
LSU Gold
LSU Champagne
LSU Golden Celeste
LSU Improved Celeste (not)
LSU Hollier
LSU Late Black
LSU Black (aka Scott's Black)
LSU Everbearing
LSU Tiger

There are 4 others total that I am looking for.  So if I get the real Improved and Improved Celeste, maybe I'll get the other 2 next year.

thanks,

Dennis,

What is LSU Improved? I need to do some homework on it. Check your PM regarding LSU IC.

Dennis,
When I read Jon's Varieties page and saw LSU Improved, I could only think that something was missing, that is, LSU Improved What? Nevertheless, do any forum members have LSU Improved? Jon, do you have it?

Paully,
I will plan to visit a so-called LSU Red mother tree tomorrow. Weather permitting, I will take a few photos. Meanwhile, if you have more info and even pictures of Thibodaux, #156, Red or St. Gabriel, I would like to read more and love to see them. Dan mentioned these figs in his threads and even started a couple of threads about Jack Lily with photos.

I thought only the true O'Rourke fig tree had the Brunswick-looking leaves?  The ICs have a more normal fig leaf.

This is enough to drive one crazy.  Is there another IC that has those deeply cut leaves?

I've been looking for a true O'Rourke with the 3-5 lobed leaves that are more cut.
