Hello dear good old fig friends:-)

Help me please.

Last year, one of my friends gave this little fig tree to me.

and he told me 'It's a CDDN!'

but to my eye, it is not. absolutely not. I have a 3-4 years old CDDB. so I can tell.

leaf form/shape is totally different:-(

I've pointed it to him, but seems he does not agree. he still says it is a CDDN.

this little fig tree leaves looks like paulownia / the Empress tree-

please give me a some hint to guess it's correct name.

Have a nice day, regards THANKS!

p.s.my friends told to me 'it's came from marius'

More then likely CDDN. YOU CAN NEVER GO BY LEAF ON A YOUNG PLANT. TAKES A YEAR TO GET LEAVES THAT RESEMBLE THE TRUE VARIETY actually one branch of my cddg has leaves like yours. Will show pic tomorrow

Thank you for kind reply

and about CDDB... I have a CDDB came from Mnedelcu (thanks again) years ago.

though tree is in a young age(3 or 4 years) it produces many crops.

It makes a good ones, but I'm in wonder it meets it's vast reputations or not.

sweet and spicy, but to me, rdb is a better one:-)

CDDB fig seems has a character keeps its acidity to fully ripen. it's a good one.

I'd love to grow the CDD'S but the price on eBay is stupid. I had a Grise but lost it the past spring because of a freak cold snap and a false early spring... We live and learn though.
