Maybe it's an ant eater.  Ants like figs!  I really think it's his pet bat. Bats are wild about figs!!

Salam!

Zaitlun, no disrespect.  We know you grow some awesome figs, and we all want cuttings, but this animal is a bit disturbing to most of us.  Small red eyes..evil grin.....

Just saying we respect your fig growing, but could you please chime in and tell us what this animal is?  We don't grow them here in the USA. (I hope)

Did a quick search under the name for this animal, and it looks like some  folks will make them pets.  Sort of like a raccoon?  I always thought that I would like to have a beautiful raccoon as a pet....but then again...maybe not.

When I was a kid, way back, in another time.... I had a squirrel-monkey as a pet.  Monkeys belong in jungles, and not in cages, living with humans.  After some months, and plenty of disappointed tears, I sold that poor monkey, and I was sad, and happy, to see him go.  A hard lesson.  Kids are romantics, and have no grasp of reality...they see only novelty, and excitement.  Then, you must grow up.  I hope that poor monkey had a good life.  To this day I still wistfully think back to that time and place, when I had such innocent expectations about so many things.  Life changes...sometimes too fast.
