I am looking for anyone in the NYC area who is interested in trading fig cuttings. My grandma has fig and persimmon trees in her backyard in Brooklyn. They are all healthy and fruitful trees. I'd love to try other varieties if anyone is interested in trading. __________________ Stephen, NYC Zone 7

Welcome to the forum! Usually cuttings are done once the plants are dormant, a little easier to work with? Do you know what varieties you have or pictures of the fruit?

Thats the problem! I don't have any idea what kind they are. And yes I have heard about doing it when they are dormant but I know many people including family members who've successfully propagated figs when they weren't dormant. The only difference is I am doing this indoors. My grandparents brought these fig/ persimmon trees from Italy when they emigrated to this country.
