This seem to be the Petite Negri that got three lobe leaves. I have a couple of Petite Negri and both got 5 lobes leaves, identical to Aubique Petite sold by Pierre Baud in France. I am sure you got the real Petite Negri that was sold ,long time ago, before some nursery start selling, the figs I have as Petite negri. Mean while I did acquired an unknown that is identical to yours,so I will sort them out very soon.

I found this mature tree locally that I believe to be Petite Negri. As I was approaching the front door I saw that there must have been 50 pounds of fruit spoiled on the ground below the tree and all ripening fruit on the tree was split. I decided to not bother the owner since they were obviously not happy with the tree, and I no longer wanted a cutting. I took one fig which was watery and bland and kept on hunting. But as you can see this tree produces both 3 and 5 lobed leaves.

That one I found was a sad case. A real shame too because it was so productive. Don't mean to scare anyone off the variety but I saw what I saw. Lets hope Pauls is a little different/better.

My tree also has both 3 & 5 lobe leaves on it. this is the first time it produced figs and a lot of them. they are getting ripe now and its getting cold I thought they wouldn't ripen but they are. I am happy with the taste Paul

I know your asking Herman, but that looks like a Sicilian fig in the Sal's Corleone family
