This is my first post, after a few years as a guest. I am located in zone 6a in southwestern pa. I grow mostly grapes and fruit trees. I have ventured into figs over the last few years. I have 2 peters honey and 2 celeste that I purchased from craigslist. I am ready to try new varieties! At the moment my grapes are my babies, 240 vines in all. I make wine with all of them. I have, chambourcin, leon millot, diamond, isabella, seyval, vignoles, concord, and delaware. I am an accomplished winemaker with over 100 blue ribbons from my estate grown grapes. If anyone here would like to trade a few fig cuttings for some grapes cuttings just let me know. Pruning time wont be until april around here. I would also trade the product of those vines;). If anyone doesn't have figs and just wants grape cuttings I can help you out.

Welcome. I work at a winery. Ste. Chapelle in Idaho. We grow Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Sauv Blanc, Cab franc, Syrah (shiraz), chard.... Etc. I love wine. If you can find it try Petite Syrah (reserve) by Sawtooth. If you love...... Reds, try Petite Syrah. Dark, spicy, earthy- chocolatey, cherry notes that sing "ahhhhh... yes this is it"- lol. What varieties are you looking for? PM me :-)

Hello Scott, Glad to have you. I make wine myself just racked some carlos muscadine, and some wild red muscadine . I do mainly fruit wine because I haven't gotten my(2-3) grape vines producing enough yet. All out of cuttings this year but would definitely like to possibly get some cuttings from you. Hope you enjoy the forum its the best

Welcome Scott. I am in Pittsburgh and can give you a small tree or two in the spring. They are a mystery variety a I got from an Italian neighbor. It makes small green figs with a pink interior that is sweet with a berry taste. I should also be able to spare some cutting sof other varieties if they root for me this winter. Just PM me if you are interested.

Scott, We have things in common! I was MIA when you first posted. We had a wonderful family Christmas yesterday in Wine Country. We are moving there, have an offer in (short sale waiting for bank approval) for room to grow the vines, and wine is my love. Figs are second, and everyone here knows that, but there will be room for all my figs, in ground, and a chicken or three! Horseradish is a key ingredient for prime rib and Bloody Mary's! Looking forward to what you have to say on that topic! Welcome from Suzi!

Welcome aboard! I made my first batch of wine this year from grapes I purchased, but I have plans to grow my own soon. I also make mead and other brews. Just racked off a variation of Ethiopian Tej, which is a honey wine with bananas, coffee and spices. It smells just like a good heffeweisen beer. I cannot wait to taste it after it ages a bit. I'd be open to trades at some point.
