Well guys its been real.
I have made some good friends some good trades and arguments. Jon called me a drama queen lol I even threatened to punt Cecil's dog (sorry again bro) i have had the pleasure of meeting a lot of you guys. Gone on fig hunts with bass, georgi, barry, and lee. I have helped vasile move figs in his yard. I forgot to bring Vito pulpo. I have tried to get Martin to come to the light fig side
Rafed, bass, Lou and Barry have all eaten at my restaurant.

There is way too much bs going on in here. People with no respect joining trying to cause drama. People selling fake plants (that's how Barry has a white Madeira fig) and when we warn people we get jumped on. I have well over 500 known variants and quite a few unknowns. I have studied them tasted them and experimented with soil and cold hardiness. There is a life out side of this fruit.

What the?  And ............ Are you a woman in disguise?  Hormones?

I know what this is.  Cabin fever, but, we really don't need it.  Your loss is our gain.

For crying out loud!!

I hate to see it myself and hope it doenst come to that from any of you older members.
But whatever, i wish you and dom luck in any of your future plans, may they be fruitful.

Best respects

Jake, you speak the truth!  I've been here a long time, seen them come and go, and JON, remains silent through the male drama queens.  This never happens with the girls, notice?  There is an IP number, and if they bow out, I don't think Jon should let them come back under any other name.

Just me being me.  My goal is to grow fig trees of many varieties.  I have many friends here and they know who they are.  I am a woman, and I do NOT understand this male drama!  My husband is a real man, not a drama queen.  He knows how to dig a hole, catch a fish, spray for bugs and make a romantic fire!  I know how to cook that fish, feed the chickens and hold them in my lap, and do my best to propagate the figs I grow and receive.  Freely gift.  I didn't mention the goats......

Well then that means I need to start working out again because I'll need a whole lot of fig leaves to cover up this mess.  Fat doesn't look good in Bronze.

I think Suzi got it right.........Cabin fever. Too cold (for most of us) to go outside so we're spending too much time on the forum.

Dude! I haven't even heard any stories about your restaurant yet :-) . Just take a couple months (days?) off and come back when you feel you're able to tolerate (overlook) the nonsense again.

See ya later.........

I don`t see any reason to quit forum for reason someone said some staff that I don`t like. I sometimes get in argue with my wife but that's no reason to divorce her.

Guys my best advise is to just stay silent for a while don't leave just keep track on who the idiots are in your eyes and just stay away from them just say how you feel and if certain people don't like it that's there problem they have been warned by you guys you guys have way to much experience/knowledge in this field and i'm sure others to just walk away from all us unexperienced little guys
just stick around you guys you both have lots of trees and cuttings and info to just leave all of us struggling for info from people here who really don't know enough to be giving it out. And how will you ever get that illusive new strain if your not part of the fun.
Besides you will ruin Jons sight/forum by letting the little guy win just ignore the drama its not worth it guys.

Dan, I am truly sad that all the negativity of late has turned you away. I hope you will have a change of heart, as I respect the knowledge and experience that you have. I hope that you will consider coming to the gathering at Bass house if he has it again this year. Please keep in touch. I will PM my email address to you.

Truly a loss for the Forum.

Dan...its guys like you that got me started here on the forum when everyone else hated/disliked me and my original attitude here you gave me a chance don't let anyone put you in the mood your in . I have lots to share because of your help so im telling you im demanding you not to go anywhere ...Please

And Dom you have been through a hell of alot more in your life then this forum you should just brush it off and laugh its sooo much easier don't let anyone decide your fate on this forum there talking out of there arse and we all know it I dont even know what made either one of you decide to leave this time but I don't care if you just keep brushing them off and ignoring there stupid remarks they will go away those of us that choose to listen to you guys will benefit. And everyone else will lose eventually it will come around and all the people that didn't listen will all have the same brown turkeys and they will be stuck with each other and us the people that want to learn and listen will actively trade known strains and keep the fig forum going in a positive direction.

You guys know the saying you can lead a horse to water but you cant make them drink.

There like children you can tell them all you want but until there ready to listen your wasting your time with them ..kinda

Hey Dan, the only way to counter the BS is to stick around and call people on it.  You've got the better nose, my friend, the forum needs you for that.

I'm sort of glad I've missed out on all this crap, but ... one thing I still have the ability to do is call a spade a spade.  Doesn't matter whether it's some a-hole taking UCD cuttings and selling them on ebay or taking cuttings from members and selling on ebay or taking cuttings from a purported RdB "a neighbor has" and selling 'em on ebay, it's always something.  With the exception of one or two members here or there, it's always coming from the less-than-year-old crowd (who probably think I'm an "elitist" too, such utter horsekaka), and ... the old timers need to stick around, man.

Brush it off.  Let the shady people take a walk, no need to walk for them.  We all learn the true merit of folks in time.  Give it some time for the truth to come out, chill in the meantime till then.

PS - I wish the shady, no-good jackasses out there understood what homewreckers they can be.

Sounds like the forum is getting very big. When I joined there were only a few active members I could count in my hand, now, wooh.... we have a lot of members. I guess thats good.

Enjoy the time off. Go visit the Keys (Florida Keys), escape and have six pack to go along with your R & R

It does feel good to take time off. We should not sweat the small stuff. Life is too short and we never know when it is our time to go. Therefore love your friends and those who hurt you. Be blessed!
