19 days 'til Spring.  Hopefully the temps will be creeping up soon.  Just the sound of 'March' makes it a good day.
Daylight savings is in 9 days.  Not much longer!!

Pete,

Did you move the tree into a warmer/brighter room since it's budding?  I have a 1 year tree doing the same thing in my garage.  Temps in my garage are currently 50 at night.  I'm thinking I need to put it under grow lights.  What do you think?

I can hardly wait. It shouldn't make any difference, ...but it does.

In truth, I wish they would just pick a time and stick with it.

It's already warm here. Tomato plants in pots in a warm spot are already showing young flower buds.

In my part of California it's dry as a bone. We need another good rain really bad. The poppies are starting to bloom, but the weeds are already withering up. It could be another bad fire year. Water restrictions can't be too far away.

Adding another hour to the day gives me a better chance to get some things done in the yard when I get home from work during the week.  I have so much to do outside before spring actually gets here.  Rain barrel setup, garden space prepping, etc.

I’m with Gena..!   Much as I’m enjoying this unseasonal 80 deg day, we sure could use a little more rain before the onset of spring.     Was shocked to find Home Depot garden section completely stock up on pony pack veggies of all varieties yesterday.    Geeesh….we’re talking end of February, that’s a little early, even for this locale.   After learning the hard way, I’m not going to get suckered into planting tomatoes until the last of winter/spring chills pass.      Good time to get seeds going though!

Best of fig karma to all……
