Does anyone use the back to eden method for their fig trees? I'm using it this year for the first time in my garden. Here is the link http://www.backtoedenfilm.com

Without the spiritual dialogue, this is pretty much permaculture planting. I use it and love the results. It rebuilds the soil and restores balance. Good stuff.

I saw this video about a year ago, and as stated above it may just be permaculture planting, but I must say the man makes a very powerful presentation.

I have a fig tree we planted 16 years ago. Last year I cleaned up a lot of huge bushes around it and ran them through a chipper. Pruned the fig and ran it through as well. Then I started getting mulch from a tree service. I mulched this fig very heavy. This year it is going nuts. I have some limbs that have grown 4 ft already. I think there is something to it with out a doubt. I have some fig trees on some land I bought last year. I have started mulching them now. We also started using it on the garden.
