I couldn't find out on my own what the 'VS" suffix means on a fig name. I'm guessing it means "virus susceptible"? but I hope it means something else like "Very Sweet" I just had to show my ignorance and ask.. F4F members have been very helpful sharing their knowledge with me. The tags say Paradiso Bronze VS

"VS" is a designation for the initials of the man who popularized this strain of "Marseilles Black"-VS. Then everyone knows the distinction between the "VS" strain, and the commercially/privately available "Marseilles Black" varieties. Hope this clears thing up. I wondered myself....until someone explained it to me. Frank
